Squad profile photos - how?

So the official Lions website has a page with profiles of the squad:

I am curious about these photos. If, as they say, even the players did not know about who was in the squad until it was annouced yesterday, how did they get these photos already? Did every player who may even remotely be in contention get a photo taken earlier OR are those photos faked?

Sorry...totally pointless I know but I am curious.

They took them all recently, it was reported the other day (Sunday Times I think) that Danny Cipriani for example had his pics taken in the Lions jersey recently.

Yup, exactly as Jackz said, every player contracted to the home Unions all had their photo taken in both the jersey and the offical suit, there was an interview with Stephen Ferris and he mentioned how strange it was for him, I think they all got fitted during the 6 Nations

Thanks guys. I can rest easy now and stop looking at the photos trying to find dodgey photoshop work. The photo of ROG looked suspect but then he always does

BOD looks like he is tied up in the picture, and Andy Powell looks like they just dragged some homeless guy in, slapped a jersey on him and told him to stand still.

Is it just me or is the background for the Irish lads darker than the rest of them? Quinny's head just doesn't look right in his picture and it seems a different background to the rest of the Irish lads as well does it? Getting very paranoid here

some of the munster lads were away when the pictures were taken a few weeks ago. They were on some form of training camp, thats why some look a little different than the others

Judging by Ferris's interview they found out about their selection on Friday afternoon so it is possible some of the pictures were taken over the weekend or yesterday

By the looks of Kearneys hair it was taking during the 6 Nations cos it was cut right after it!! I'm a woman and i notice things the same with Harry Ellis he is a skin head now!

According to Jerry Flannery on 2FM interview bout 5.30 yesterday evening they all had pictures taken in their jerseys during the six nations - i.e. everyone in contention had a picture taken - then only those selected for the Loins tour were published! so sez the man...

This would be right - they all signed their contracts for the Lions too back around Christmas or so. If you remember there was originally supposed to be an extended squad of 60 or so picked before the six nations that the final squad was to be selected from. That would be where they'd normally sign contracts and do the publicity shots. But for whatever reason McGeechan decided late in the day that he wouldn't name the extended squad and at the time it was reported that contracts were being distributed to all players contracted to the Unions.

Probably worked out well for Earls and Quinlan particularly whose club form is obviously what got them there and they may not have been considered earlier in the season with less games under their belts.

No way that jersey came off without the use of a scissors. What a waste, those things are over €100 a go!
