[Advice Wanted] The Forge Railway Street

Hi,

I'm moving to DIT Kevin Street next year, and was just wondering has anyone stayed in The Forge on Railway Street as I'm thinking of moving there, and if so they could tell me what it's like?

I don't know The Forge, but the only two times I've been on Railway Street (a) first time seeing a 14 year old being arrested (b) had stones thrown at me from an upper floor of hte flats.



Its also kinda the wrong site of town for Kevin Street although the distance isn't that far - 20+ minute walk.

Yeh I kinda know about the distance thing,but its that griffith halls or herberton and herbertons pretty dear and I've heard bad things about griffith.

I'm kinda looking for a student block and it looked ok, run as the same people as the DkIT student accommodation and the're very nice.

I knew it was a bad area, always heard stories of Talbot street.

I'm not sure what to do. Might just wait and look at private accommodaion.

I live in the forge its well crap. the place is always buzzing with cop cars as its so rough on the street, the burning of cars is a weekly event near enough.
the place itself is rough at the best of times and the apts r well crap too small...the place must have been designed by a 2 year old. I've met some brill ppl ere but most of the time its a ghost-town and no-one seems to have ne craic...just don't stay here.
