Looking to buy a laptop, just for home use, no gaming.
internet, MS Office etc. .. it needs to multitask, like 2 programs open at the same time, unlike the Dell desktop Im on now:rolleyes:.

are these specs good for my requirement, should i find the laptop fast?

Processor Intel Core 2 Duo T6400, clocked at 2 GHz
    Cache memory 2 MB
Operating System Genuine Windows Vista® Home Premium
    RAM 5 GB
Graphics card Mobile Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500M HD, up to 1,340 MB total available graphics memory
Screen type 13.3" TruBrite TFT High Brightness display resolution: 1,280 x 800 pixels (WXGA)
    Hard drive 320 GB
Optical disk drive Dual-layer SuperMulti DVD burner

I need to get a lap top this weekend. looking to spend about €800.

no gaming, no serious multimedia requirements etc. . just play youtube the odd time :D

those specs more than meet your requirement that Intel core 2 duo is a good processor i have just purchased a toshiba laptop with it myself. 5gb ram is very generous also and will keep things moving fast for you. toshiba is also a good make in laptops

The 5Gb of RAM is completely pointless imo, it sounds like a typo, as the OS will only see about 3.5Gb of the RAM, seeing as it's home premium you'll be using.

Yeah, that's a typo, the only way you'll get 5GB with two ram slots is 4GB + 1GB, which will cost a fortune.

But otherwise, those are grand specs for an everyday user. 13.3" models tend to bit a little pricier (and thinner on the ground) than 15.4", but im sure you'll find something decent in your price-range.
