Hi, i want to claim money back on my dental expenses. I sent in the form but they sent it back looking for a p60 and to resubmit it at the end of the tax year? What's a p60 and when is the end of the tax year? thanks.

A P60 is your statement of earnings isued at end of each tax year (31st December ) it is a summary of your earnings during the previous 12 months. If you were working at the end of last year you should have been given it from your employer. It gives details of pay , tax deducted and PRSI .

If not..or you might have lost it somewhere..ask your employer for a copy.

Any expenses happening this year (2009 ) will have to wait till 2010.

***** However ,2008 medical expenses are submitted in 2009. Find all your receipts for doctors , consultants , prescriptions ******
