Imitation pearls :) (or imitation any other stones)

I haven't been lucky enough to buy real pearls yet but I'd say any jewellers in Dublin would be your friend. I know I've seen them in the windows of those jewellers in the little road with all the jewellery shops down the side of Bewelleys on Grafton street.

You might find something of interest online. www.qvc.ie do a brand called 'Honora' pearls, they are real freshwater pearls set in silver or 14k gold.

You can avail of their 30 day no quibble money back guarantee and only take the hit for the postage each way if you don't like them....

I have bought some of the earrings and they are really fab, excellent quality. Average price is about 40euro. A fraction of what you will pay down town here in Ireland for similar quality product...

Is there any way to tell if they are real of fake by looking at them?? Or do u have to take the word of the seller??? Is there a nationally recognised certificate or something??

    Thanks for any help!

This could be a myth but apparently if you run a flame over them and nothing happens there real
