So I am back on meat two whole days after a 9 year stint of veggiedom. I was all good with my decision until I passed a truck of mooing cows on the way to the slaughter...I feel guilty now!

Anyone have any opinions to help me get back on the meat and get rid of my guilt

The only argument for eating meat is the taste, nothing like tucking into a big fat steak

Dont feel guilty over seeing cows, they would not be there if everyone was a vegetarian, very little money in dairy farming without the beef market. So by not eating meat your not helping cows.

I haven't eating the piggy yet Only got as far as chicken so I am trying to be brave and not go running back to hide under my tofu !! It's crazy when I became one it was more to prove people wrong now it's like a habit I am trying to kick

Don't know how you went back! The longer I don't eat it the more disgusting the concept seems and a cow is the only animal that lets me pet it hehe. Now if the recession hits us hard enough and we have to go hunting again I'll see you in the woods with a knife.


Good luck getting off the guilt, I couldn't(living in a society where meat is just needed for dietary pleasure instead of necessity) so I'm stuck killing those plants, and I enjoy every last kill.

You started on chickens yet feel sorry for cows that get to roam more of less free and do nothing but eat, **** and sleep. Where as chickens live in their own poo and are so intensively farmed death is a welcome break from the hideous deformity's that make their life a living hell.

You should go straight to pigs, their cute no matter how many bits their in.

Because I had been thinking about it for a while..and said fook it, you only get one life. I'm sick of not having choices when I go out and people constantly catering for my "needs". Plus I think meat is tasty
