Mini Bus Driving

Hey there. I have been driving a mercedes sprinter crew cab for the last ten years carrying passengers and I am looking into applying for the mini bus driving test. I have a few questions. I imagine there are some points regarding safety for vehicles carrying more than 8 passengers but other than that is there much difference in the driving, so would I need lessons? Where do I apply for the test and how much does it cost? I have looked on the net already but cannot find any straightforward answers so all info would be appreciated.

You'll have to apply for, and pass a theory test first. Then you may apply for a category D1 Learner Permit. You may then apply to any test centre. (The 6 month rule does not apply).

If you want to kill two birds with the one stone, go straight for the D test (large bus) which is permitted if you have a B Driving Licence. (And category D theory test and Learner Permit obviously). That's what I did so I'm afraid that, although I drive large buses regularly, I've no experience with mini-buses.
