    Hi guys

Short notice but a friend of mine needs to pick up some team jerseys ASAP, where’s the best place to buy them?

Oh when is the next board’s jersey order? I know I missed the boat on the last one but can you place an order in the middle of the year:rolleyes:

    Cheers

What do you mean by "team jerseys" - need something designed? The boards stuff comes from www.fcarvalho-ciclismo.com.

Opening a can of worms but yes. You can order them. They work out between 40 and 60 euros each. You just sort out money and sizing and order but it takes 6-8 weeks from payment.

If its any jersey you want look at http://www.prendas.co.uk/ lots of good bargains and some older jerseys.

Lets not forget the often overlooked matching socks. The black sheep of the team kit.:)

    True indeed

I was wondering about the shorts. I need to buy another pair or two and was looking at the nice price for the garmin shorts on wiggle. I have the jersey, but then I wasn't sure if wearing all matching kit was euro or not. I checked the rules and they seem to say ALL matching, does boards agree with this?

To me it reminds me of people who bought all matching footie strips when they were younger, which was extremely uncool.

Just a word of warning - do not buy shorts off of prendas. They have great jerseys, but the shorts are made by Nalini, and have that horrible leather chamois. Very uncomfy IMHO.

However, the prendas jerseys are great - very comfy indeed.

I actually really like the nalini chamois. Also use Craft which use a more modern sort of chamois and I much prefer the nalini.

I've yet to try assos - i'm sure it's like having 20 virgins licking your under-carriage, knowing them.

I was in cycle superstore today, and I came very very close to buying Assos bib shorts.

If they had them in white, I reckon I would have gone mad and bought.

If you can wear Nalini, you are some man. Do you use a chamois cream on the leather?

I'd agree with this when talking World Champ stripes, not with team gear though.

Nah, never used any chamois cream.

Well, that's a lie, I tried it once, to see what it was all about and didn't particularly like/dislike it so haven't bothered since.

Where do you get the Craft shorts from, I like their base layers and wouldn't mind trying some shorts, but they aren't easy to find online!

This is true, though plain white (Rapha) socks go with anything :)

As for team shorts.... I have a few pairs, but think plain black is the nicest. The lighter the colour the more transparent they get in the rain, don't forget that!

@Jonnykitedude- out of interest why does you friend need team jerseys specifically ASAP? Is he planning some sort of Tour de France re-enactment?

PBK have some very cheap plain Descente jerseys at the moment (£10 each) if you are just about any size other than medium. Descente stuff is very good in my opinion.

That's a nice site all right, just dropped 150 quid in their pockets :)

I do love Craft's stuff though, so it's worth it

Mine are last years CSC shorts - can't remember where I got them to be honest.

I don't find the Nalini chamois too bad. Not as nice as assos, but definitely better than some other kit I've got. Great with lashings of cream direct on the chamois.
