    Hi does anyone know is there climate control in 2002 model of the passat .If so how does it work..Either I have i in the car and its not working or its not in the spec

    Climate will have a digital readout and push button controls.

    Standard ventilation is three twisty knobs

    I looked at the 2002 spec and it said it had AC.. but then the model i just bought just seems to have the standard ventilation thought maybe there was something on the panel i was missing... think it strange that 2002 model doesnt have it when all early models do

    What model do you have? I know some of the facelift models just had general ventilation and not air con. Do you have an AC or ECON button? It'd be below the middle heater dial - if it's one button there for recirculation no air con, if it's two buttons with one marked like above hey presto...

    Climate control was made standard on the Irish spec Passat towards the end of 2002. UK spec Passats had climate control well before Irish ones but it is possible your car was an early 2002 model.
