Hi I posted this in the living abroad thread but no reply so far so I'll try here. I'm wondering what the chances are of getting a paid internship in the USA at the moment. I am graduating this year with a Degree in Software Development and thinking of going to the states for a year. A couple of people I know are going to San Francisco. Has anyone here ever done an Intership there?

How would I go about getting one? Any info would be great thanks!

Most of the companies already have their internships organised. It's an early bird type thing. I only know to find them through college.

How do you get it through the college? Did they set it up?

I did it through my course. Find a company and check out there website. Boston tends to be a big intership place. But some companies have a no foreign interns policy. Don't try any companies who are being nationalised.
