Wirless Networking Problem

    Hi Guys,

I got a tough one I think?? I'm setting up a network at home. I have 4 machines but only rooms with 3 ports. I installed a Wirless Network Card into one of the machines to resolve this.

I installed the drivers and it works on the machine fine and can connect to the internet. However I cannot access the shared files on this machines from another machine now. I can ping the router no problem from any of the machines but I can't ping the IP address of the machine or access the files. Would anyone have any idea how I could fix this?

    Thanks

I assume your using Windows XP. Open network connections and right click wireless network connection and click properties, make sure file and printer sharing is ticked. As for not being able to ping, make sure you have the right IP of the computer(it can change if using DHCP), otherwise go to windows firewall, click the advanced tab and go down to ICMP and click settings, make sure "Allow incoming echo request" is ticked.
