    hi,

i am the co-organiser of a car show which will take place in june this year.
we have put together a list of the all time great drivers and classic cars and are attempting to source the best example of each that we can find.

entrance will be by invitation only.
    there is no entry fee.
it will be a non-commercial event.

we are still trying to source the following cars.

    alfa romeo gta
    facel vega hk500
    ferrari f40
    pagani zonda
    lamborghini countach

if anyone can provide any assistance in sourcing the above, please pm me.

i have sought and received moderator approval for this post.

    thanks

    paul

Would anyone trust a ticket tout with a car like that? http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=50358494#post50358494

Where/when is this show on..and where can we see adverts for it...?

Yes, I also need those cars for a ...erm....show, yes that's it, a show, for special cars, only important people can come. Can you leave them at my house?
    :D

This just strikes me as a bit odd, do you have more info about what the show is, is it for charity?

    hi,

    to answer your questions,

the show will take place in co. monaghan on sat. 13th june 2009.

there are no adverts in the press etc.
if anyone wants a copy of the flyer send me a pm and i will email it to you.

voluntary donations will be given to the irish cancer society.

this is our second year in running this show. cars on show last year included
    aston martin db9 volante
    ferrari 456
    porsche 930 turbo
    bmw m6
    maserati quattroporte
    subaru impreza 22b

its obvious to most that now more than ever there are lots of rare & exotic cars on irish roads. all we are trying to do it to get them together in one place for the enjoyment of their owners and others. our intention is that the mix of cars will be approx. 70% modern and 30% classic.

we are not yet in a position to run the event as a 'public' event, but we will look at this again after this years show.

    thanks

    paul

Not a public show but you want all these expensive cars to show off to who exactly if its not a public event? Why not advertise such a big event, especially if its for charity.

lets see pics of last years show so...

    hmm...

While you may have the best intentions in the world this reads like the shopping list for gone in sixty seconds. It just seems really odd to me that you are having a private show, whom are you inviting, if not the general public who are these select few? I'd rather not bring my exotic car to what seems to be an uninsured private party.

The moderators have been aware of this since before it was started. However, its coming close to getting locked.
ptr106, can you confirm where exactly in Monaghan it will be held and with whom is your public liability insurance with?
