Whats The Deal with this? ( EINN )

Hi guys, while browsing Google Earth i noticed this area down by the 06 end at EINN,



Either side of the RWY there is a road, IE to the left past Shannon Aerospace there are houses and behind EINN Twr what seems like a Golf Course??






Im just wondering has anybody been spotting down here as i have never seen pics from the 06 end except long range shots from the viewing area in the Airport and from the Official Spotting Area beside Shannon Aerospace, so has anybody any info about here? Is it accessible to the public?

Thats a golf course alright and the road you have indicated is accesible to the public. there are quite a few accesible areas like that one, unknown to persons outside the locality.

There's most likely a reason for that :mad:

although iirc, there's a pub down there somewhere before you hit the security gates on the northern road.

Have a look here this will give you a better more accurate idea of the roads than google. It's a great place for spotting.

I spot at that place past the aerospace all the time, great for take-offsor landings if their using 06 instead of 24).

The other place past the golf course, I thought no public had access to that due to it being the road to the tower, I was trying to find the viewing spot down that side(I had heard about it) but when I got there there were two roads, one was a road that led past some fuel containers and up to the club house for the golf course, the other one led to the tower and said public access forbidden

If you keep driving past aerospace there are some access points near the end of the runway.
