WEDNESDAY, APRIL 22 AT 10:00 P.M. ON COMEDY CENTRAL

NEW YORK, April 20, 2009 – CARTMAN PLANS TO RUN AWAY FROM HOME TO LIVE THE LIFE OF A PIRATE in an all-new episode of "South Park" titled, "Fatbeard,” premiering on Wednesday, April 22 at 10:00 p.m. on COMEDY CENTRAL.

BUTTERS AND A SMALL GROUP OF RECRUITS JOIN CARTMAN IN HIS DREAM OF LIVING ON SKULL ISLAND WHERE THEY WILL FROLIC IN CRYSTAL CLEAR WATERFALLS AND DISCOVER BURIED TREASURE. CARTMAN PROMISES THAT PARADISE AWAITS IF THEY CAN JUST GET TO SOMALIA.

Was only just thinking the other day how many pirates there seems to be there and how cool it was.

Really good episode. It really struck a great balance between comedy and a glimmer of global political comedy.

I thought it was pretty average, a few laughs but nothing on par with recent episodes.

I didn't think it was the best episode of the season but it was not the worst either. It wasn't filled with as much jokes as usual but I laughed at the "Jews can't be pirates" line

Have laughed more at other episodes, but this was very solidly and cleverly plotted episode - controversial yet still (dare I say) intelligently satirical.

Loved the French boat arriving back into the pirate bay, and the screaming fish.

Just watched it there thought it was pretty good. Like a lot have said maybe not as many laugh out loud moments, but it had a good narrative and was pretty topical. The Susan Boyle reference was surprising cos I didn't have a clue that that particular sensation had made it to the States.

Not the best episode in the Series IMO but pretty solid nonetheless.

these new south parks are making me smile rather than me pissing my pants laughing like the older ones tbh.

I really enjoyed this episode. It had me laughing out loud quite a bit as well, more so then some of the other episodes this season.

Agreed completely with johnny_ultimate and Morzadec. Wasn't the funniest of the season but it was very well written. I love how quickly they get episodes from production to air, I only read about those pirates in Somalia in an AH thread very recently

Sigh, long wait until October now. I think this season has been a huge, huge improvement over the very inconsistent Season 12. Eat, Prey, Queef was the only one i wasn't happy with (but that does seem to be the marmite of the season) but there have been some gems otherwise.

I really liked it.

Cartman was brilliant, especially with his constant use of "The fvck!"

And the lightsaber...

gonna miss new episodes for a while but its been a decent half season.

The sequence in the first few minutes where Kyle is trying to convince Cartman to go was brilliant imo. Then Cartman's announcement on the intercom.
'Anyone can join pirate club, unless they are jewish, mexican or ginger'
