What engine noise will you be choosing for your electric car in the year 2030?

Given that electric vehicles are pretty much silent, Lotus are developing a speaker system to emit a speed-variable imitation of a car engine. This opens up the possibility of customising your (fake) engine sound, much like a mobile ring tone.

Conversely, they're also developing a system to use active acoustic canceling to generate a sound signal that reduces the sound generated by road noise and traditional engines.

So, what engine noise will you be choosing for your electric car in the year 2030?

Either a Rotary sound, RX8 or a V8! Vantage's engine sounds like sex...loud angry engine sex!

    Nothing like pure ghostly silence.

    Or, possibly, this:

Note: at 00:35s you'll hear misfires - this is the limit of the magneto's (2) not being able to cope with the ign requirements at those rpm of that 1500cc V16.........

One point, you won't have a car by 2030. Unless you are one of the rich 3%. Are you?

Have you yet to realise that a war is taking place on the motorist??

I bet you're great fun at parties.

To answer my own question, I'd choose the music from an ice cream van, confusing kids everywhere I went.
