Looking for advice on a bi-fold shower door. Ideally wanted a white one as I had some experience with chrome rusting in the shower in the past.

Can get a decent chrome one here http://showerdoorsdirect.ie/shop/shower-doors/5

for €250 which seems a good deal but they don't do white.

Any one with any experience of chrome shower doors?

    Thanks

Handyman is bang on the chrome now are made of aluminium. Believe it or not you will buy a shower door cheper now in chrome than in white. Do you know how to measure for a bifold door??? I am sure your fine just ask if you dont. If its not measure correctly and installed correctly the door wont fit or keep on opening. There is then a common misconception that the product is crap when in fact it was the installer,

    Best of luck - Thanks

I'd definitely advise you to go for chrome. White can go very dirty looking and yellowish from splashes of shampoo etc.

I'd go with the chrome. As another poster said - its now made of aluminium so wont rust and the white doors can get very grubby looking after a while, no matter how much you clean them

Thanks for the replies so far.

Will prob plump for the chrome now.

With regards to measuring I was going to measure the width of the shower from wall to wall. Aren't the bi-fold doors adjustable?

They are adjustable but some by only 20mm. The trick is to take a measurment at the top of the opening eg this might be 885mm

Then take a measurment at the middle this might be 880mm

Then take a measurment at the bottom this might be 875mm

So your door adjustment needs to be from 875mm - 885mm

    Do you get me!

This is not uncommon to be out!

    Hi

Just wondering if anyone knows whether you can get a bifold shower door that's easy to clean - ideally with a clip out mechanism? I currently have bifold, but it's impossible to clean the "glider" - so looking to replace it. Any advice?

As far as I know the Vivid door by Merlyn and the Sonas door has an easy clean roller, The best thing to do is look around. The problem is generally cheap shower doors have poor mechanisms. A toothbrush is good for cleaning them!
