Downgrading sky channels

In June last year, I added sky sports to my sky package (I've had sky maybe 3 years now). I'm now thinking of downgrading my packages and removing the movies/sports. I was just wondering if you have to keep a package upgrade for 12 months, or if you are only locked into having sky (with any sort of combination package) for 12 months.

Pretty sure you can add/remove any time you want. You could add for one month just to watch a sporting event if you like

You can change every 30 days.

In fact you can set up your sky account online and make your changes there I believe.

I believe it works like this:

If you downgrade (remove a package), you have to wait 30 days before you downgrade any other service.
You can upgrade (add a package) at any time.
Each package must be kept for at least 30 days.

This is for the TV packs, I'm not sure how it works with Sky HD.

You can downgrade online if you have a "MySky" account, but it may take a few days to be actioned.
Be careful though the option is well hidden, don't click "Changing your subscription" this link will only let you upgrade,

    Login to MySky

Click "Sky Help Centre" menu bar at top.

Then look under "Useful Links" on the right of the page, click "Contact Sky".
    http://mysky.sky.com/portal/site/skycom/skyhelpcentre/contactus

On the "Contact Us" page, under the second column "Sky TV"
click "Email the Sky TV team"

    1. Define Query: Account & Billing
    2. Refine Query: Change Sky Tv Package
    3. Refine Query: Downgrade (TV)

    Description:
Please Remove Sky Sports & Sky Movies from my subscription

    Brilliant! Thanks for your help.
Sports/Movies removed, saving me €40 a month or thereabouts.
