Weimaraner Breeders

    Im interested in getting a weimaraner, anyone on here with any experience or know of any breeders, of working/hunting litters?

    there seems to be a good few show familys around and i dont want to go near them if they dont have a wortking history.

    hi karl, there a strange breed i have seen them work but they never excited me .
    there been bread for pets/show so make get a hunting line

    ya hard to find good hunting family, i was looking at getting a GSP also and still thinking bout them but the misses likes the weim more!! If my hunt fails and i havnt found something within a couple of months i will be bringin home the GSP.

    if your looking for a dog for bird shoots that will hunt cover like a springer ,fowling and deer stalking look no further than a wire german pointer.

    How do the gwp fair up as pets?

    There tough lookin f**#rs to look at...

    The gsp have an excelent temperment and make a loyal companion in my experience

    JW if i came home with a wire hair i would have a something with a barrel pointed at me and the dog retreaving me soon after!!

    There totally out of the question!! Have to keep all sides happy

    the wire hair are the most loyal loving dogs you will get , i have 4 dogs in the place 3 wire one short hair .

    they are a hardy dog when out in the field , but love people

    if you where keeping with pointers the Viszla is a great dog i bought 2 in from England over the last 3 years and intend on breeding them there of hunting stock, and if you realy wanted to have as pet even better than a lab,realy good dogs.

    i dont have any experience about weimaraner but one of my friends have one, according to what he says they are brilliant dogs for both hunting and home security

    I have litter of weimaraners 3 males left there just 8nweeks now. my father in law hunts the mother and shes great. also sold 1 last year to mate in work and he has his retriving off water etc. i dont show them your welcome to come and see if suits im in wicklow.

    A mate of mine got a male dog from the above breeder for hunting last year and what a top dog to hunt ....Would recommend anyone who wants a true hunting breed of Weimaraner to contact this man;)
