Changing the radio in a car

    Doing this later on this evening. Is there any need to disconnect the battery or should be be alright left in?

    If your just putting in a new ISO connector. dont bother. I rarely do. As long as your reasonably happy with wiring.

    I only changed mine recently but didn't bother as it was too much hassle. As listermint says if you're using an ISO connector you just click it in whereas if you had to do a bit of rewiring you might be better off in case you touch live wires.

    You'll be grand, if its the simple ISO block connection.

    (Which are on most modern cars). If you if connected a wrong wire and

    see a spark and here a pop, just change the fuse usually little 10amps.

    Always spares in the internal fuse box.

    well lads, thanks for the replies. I got an ISO connector so wont bother disconnecting the battery
