Bowling Regs

Can anyone clarify the 2009 bowling regs.

    2008
100 over match (12 Overs per bowler)
90 over match (10 Overs per bowler)

With the reg stating for every 10 over reduction the bowler loses 1 over. ie 80 over match (9 overs)

Have the regs changed for 2009?

80 over games are no longer 10 overs per bowler and are now 8 overs per bowler

Really - Thats what happened on the w/end, but I haven't seen that reg put out anywhere and online regs are from 2008 still. Guess we have to wait for the handbooks.

I'm presuming that it is. i've played 2 matches so far and we've used those regulations. as a bowler i'd rather have my 2 extra overs back though :p

Well - yeah I wouldnt take that as gospil, seems to be word of mouth, we played an 80 over game - 9 overs a bowler.

From the secretary of the Umpires Association:
In case there is any confusion about changes, the match and bowling limitations this season are:
Senior 2/3: match maximum 100 overs; each bowler maximum 10 overs
Middle: match maximum 90 overs; each bowler maximum 10 (yes, 10) overs
Inter/Junior: match maximum 80 overs; each bowler maximum 8 overs
