Driving experience but no NCB - insurance options ?

    Hi

    I've held a driving licence for a long time and (prior to being off the road for a while) had 5 years NCB , no claims/convictions

    is there any company or broker out there who will treat me differently to a "new driver" ?- currently I am getting quotes of around €1000 for an average car

    How long since you were last insured? AFAIK, most ins cos will consider your NCB to have lapsed after 2 years - best thing in any case is to ring everyone, brokers & ins cos, and state your case, see what the best quote is.
