they doubled the starting stack to 100 k this year, first hand yesterday day 1a

Action folds around to the button who raises to 550. Chino Rheem folds his small blind, and the big blind inexplicably moves all in for 100,000.

He says "That's right. I'm all in."

The button folds and the big blind shows one card -- the 3c.

    prop bet ??

    helmutt lasted five hands

numbers way down 06/07 had over 600 runners circa 550 last year 333 this year

    first hand today 1b

Sammy Farha may have just a little too much gamble in him...

Farha is in the nine seat at table 57 in the small blind. He tells everyone that he wants it to be folded around so he can move all in blind against Chau Giang. Giang seems more than ready to gamble with him and moves his chips past the bet line in front of him.

With 100,000 stacks you might think that they're joking, but from the look of things, they're dead serious.

Most players at the table agree that they will fold their hands if Sammy and Chau really want to do this. It actually looks like it might happen until a player under the gun (who had remained silent during this conversation at the table) limps into the pot. All bets are off after he enters the action and Nick Binger makes a raise to 750. Sammy decides not to move all in and instead calls the raise. Chau, no longer interested in the pot now that Sammy's not all in, folds his hand. The player under the gun reraises and Binger and Farha both call. The UTG player makes a large continuation bet after the flop and takes the hand.

Does the WPT have any of the bigger poker rooms driving online qualifiers for their events? Probably not if they are US-based.

    another beaut from yesterday
    From WPT.com

David Peat has spent most of today in Bobby's Room playing high-stakes cash games, but he just returned to spend some time (not a lot) in the WPT World Championship.

Peat's first hand back, he is in the big blind, and gets a walk. (No more stealing his blind uncontested, guys!)

In his second hand, Jonathan Aguiar raises from the button to 2,400, and Peat moves all in from the small blind to 75,000. Aguiar snap-calls with A-8 offsuit, and Peat shows 6-5 offsuit.

The board bricks out, and Jonathan Aguiar wins the pot. David Peat is eliminated from the tournament, and can now return to his cash game.

I was reading on 2+2 that the action in Boobys Room this week as been massive. Meant to be some crasy **** going on and massive pots. They can make more in that room in a couple of hours than playing the WPT event for 5 days and been knock out on the bubble etc

well if they bubble the tournament they could of made more working in MacDonald's, but why stump up the 25k entry if not interested in playing.

I don't know, a lot of these guys think nothing of 25k. Check the tread in 2+2. Its seems like crasy action.

I'm guessing they will play a couple of hands in the event, if they get a big stack they'll sit down and have a go at it. If not, they want the cash action. Remember this is how the WSOP was for years.
