Quick question lads. I am in Madrid and have Digital+ http://www.plus.es/ . I know am in an apartment building that has a quite large communal dish which is pointing at Astra 19.2E to pick up the Digital+. The reciever I have is a Thomson T1. Anyway the bastards have some sort of security on the box which will not allow you to add channels say for example like one can on their Sky box. So my question is if I pick up a cheap receiver and just take the wire from the back of the Digital+ box and stick it into my new receiver I presume I should be able to pick up all FTA stations within range of the dish on 19.2E ?

Also does anyone know if their is many FTA on 19.2E or an good pay packages ?

    Cheers

If a station (lets say austrian) broadcasts a programme (say CSI) in German and English then if I just hit the audio button on my receiver it should change to english no ?

Ok I bought a Boston RC8300 plugged it in and done a search but all I got was the channels off the Digital+ platform here in Spain. How come none of the ones from the link above appeared (ones for Germany, France etc.) ? Do I need to add transponders manually ? it has 76 of them on the menu for Astra 19.2. I must be doing something wrong if these channels dont appear on a search. The signal strength and quality are fine and the communal dish must be at least 1.5 - 2m which should pick up stations from France at least.

    Any suggestions ?

Is there an option to scan with Network Scan/NIT enabled?

Is the OP certain that the dish is aligned to Astra 19E and not to Hispasat 30W?

Yes there is. It seems to be turned off be default. I will give it a go with it turned on and see what happens. What does that do exactly ?

    Cheers

The german and austrian channels very rarely if ever carry dual audio on their channels.
