    Hi all,
I want to get another CF card as the 2gb one I have fills up fast (Canon 400D)
    This time I think i'll get a 4gb.
Any recommendations on brands, speeds, performance, ect??

Thanks for the help in advance!

    Hi,

I personally prefer the Sandisk Ultra IIs or Extreme IIIs. None of my cards is bigger than 2gig. Basically, I have a bunch of 1 and 2 gig cards on the grounds that if one of them breaks or get lost, I don't necessarily lose everything.

I know a bunch of people here use 4gig cards and I might buy of them some day but I carry a large amount of storage split across several cards. You might consider buying two 2gigs instead of a 4 for that reason.

Stick to 2GB's when you start shooting events and what not they'll come in handy if one gets corrupts you'll have plenty more cards to use and maybe some with images on,As for brands i use an ADATA cf card with 266x write speeds and a sandisk ultimate II both are perfect and never have issues with them

Check out this guy, click on the 'CF/SD' link on the left. The Canon 400D is known as the 'Digital Rebel XTi' in the US though it's not featured on that guy's road tests but I'm sure the results will be the same or very similar if you pick a similar Canon dSLR.
