Muay Thai. This will get you really fit and is hard work, but if you eat clean and train hard and regularly then you will lose weight.

I plan on starting at Bidgestone as soon as my professional exams are over in June :pac:

If one particular style held that magic formula everyone would fight at bantam weight :P

But thats a tongue in cheek answer.

Work hard, leave the beer alone, eat clean and the weight loss will come. You don't have to engage in a particular style of M.A. to achieve weight loss.

As is regularly advised in this forum, look around at what clubs are available to you. Visit them and pick something which you think you'll enjoy and work from there.

I'm gonna second Muay Thai. I've lost loads of weight doing it. Great exercise. Of course you need to eat properly too as Maki-changey-namey says.

Every sports are goods for loss weight, maybee less endurance sports, but main things is food.
Leave away carb and you will see quickly the difference.
In fact all thing that increase carb level in the blood.
My English is not good enough for explain that but just keep in mind that your body is working like a switch. Usually we burn fat, that is the normal way, but when you eat carb your body stop to burn fat and product insulina for drive the sugar. Even a small meal with sugar can stop the "burning fat process" for several hours.
Other thing is not to stop fat in your food, you body will see this like a danger and, maybee, increase the level of fat in you body. Keep good fat in your daily meal with olive oil and/or wallnuts oil.
