Yeah tis a good price, and it's got U3. Ah well nothing's perfect, I suppose you can always uninstall it. :D

These 4Gb ones look like good value as well, they're 3 for 2. So you get 3 for £15.98, that's £5.33 each delivered: http://www.mymemory.co.uk/USB-Flash-Drives/MyMemory/MyMemory-4GB-USB-Flash-Drive

    P.S. There's 4% Quidco cashback at MyMemory.

Its just a launch app pre-installed on the USB Drive, that you can put different programs on it. Could be handy for specialized user, but for joe soap its ridiculously annoying as not one but two windows open when you pop it into the computer ever time!

If you have a u3 usb stick you can uninstall from here http://u3.com/support/default.aspx#CQ3

U3 is software some USB flash drive manufacturers put on their drives: http://www.u3.com/ It's sorta like U2; lots of hype, but mainly irritating. Most people want to know how to get U3 off their USB drive when they buy it.

Quidco is a cashback website. When you buy through their web site they share some of the commision they get with you. There's no catch; just register with them. Then shop using their web links and you get paid via PayPal, minus a £5 per year admin fee: www.quidco.com

P.S. While the U3 software isn't great, there's other USB software such as PortableApps. That's well worth trying out. They are very handy mini versions of popular mainly free software: http://portableapps.com/

It may be worth formatting it to NTFS as well if you want to store videos or whatever that can be read on your xbox or media center. (Only the first 4gb is read using the FAT32)

    WARNING:

    - Remember to backup your data. Formatting will delete all the data in your device.
    - Formatting the device as NTFS will make it unable to be written to on a MAC computer. Most MAC computers can read NTFS, but not write.
    -
NTFS is a journaled filesystem, this creates more read/write activities. Therefore, it will decrease life expectancy of your device.
    -
Once the device is formatted as NTFS, you MUST use "Safely Remove Hardware".

STEP 1 - Optimize the flash drive for performance
    1. Plug in the device to the PC.
    2. Double-click My Computer.
    3. Right-click on the flash drive, then select Properties.
    4. Click the Hardware tab.
    5. Select the SanDisk Cruzer USB Device disk drive, then click Properties.
    6. Click the Policies tab.
    7. Select Optimize for performance, then click OK.

STEP 2 - Format the flash drive
    1. Double-click My Computer.
    2. Right-click on the flash drive, then select Format.
    3. In the File system list, click NTFS.
    4. Click Start.
    5. Click OK to start formatting.

I thought it was that Fat 32 only supported files up to 4gigs, not that only the first 4 gigs of a drive is available? I'm pretty sure my 160gb fat 32 external usb disk is read by my xbox, ps3 and pc.

You can format large drives to FAT32 using the HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool

You may be right there actually sorry. If you had 720P/1080P files they wouldn't be readable.
