My 01 Octavia failed due the NCT to imbalance of rear brakes and hand brake. I assume it needs new brake drums. I tried Fast Fit and they don't do them.

Anyone know of a place thats reasonable and good within Artane, Beaumont, Coolock, malahide road area?

    Thanks

    Hi.

A lot of cars have failed the NCT on this area.

If your rear shoes arent that old they might only need adjusting.

Half hour job for any good mechanic. You might not need new rear brakes.

Had to do this on my Mother in-laws

Yaris. Flew thru the test then. :D

Yeah, but getting a mechanic I can trust is what I'm after. A lot would just replace them and some maybe more than that and before I know it, the cost is hundreds.

Sorry i cant find hes number. But if you go to the Mulitparts

motor factors on Jones Rd facing Croke park, they'll point you in the

direction of he's Garage, its right near their store (there also one of

the best for prices on car parts). Hope that helps.
