I started up a thread a few days ago asking what people thought on MGs and I've definately been put off them.. Looking now at a car I've always wanted since I was a kid, the e30.

I think it looks nice.. and am happy with paying that much for it. If I could get anything off it, it would be a bonus.

    thoughts please?

    The 318iS is great car!
I don't like the mods done on it. It says Alpina wheels - I would suspect that they are replicas. Often larger spurious alloys on an E30 can ruin the handling.
Get it profesionally checked for rust, electrical and mechanical issues.
In terms of the money, knock them down a bit

The res one looks moch more loved.
I prefer that M-Tech kit over the other yoke.
Again they are alpina replica alloys.
A lot of money for it though.

not too worried bout money.. was thinking of spending 7k. and it does look like it was better cared for.. i'd say i'd be keeping it for 2 years anyway.

anyone know how these are to insure?

edit: i don't mind about replica wheels :P if they look good, they look good. i wont be driving it hard either..

The first one looks chav-tastic. Personally I'd avoid it like the plague. The red one looks alot tidier.

On a related point - you're out of your mind even considering spending 7k on one. Half that should get you into a minter.

The red one is deffo the nicer car. Doesn't look to be pimped up in anyway, just proper BMW OEM or replica parts. All it needs is a set of clear front indicators (IMO). Price does seem a bit mad though but he has it on sale nearly a month though so you might knock him down a bit.

    +1

I can vouch for the red one and it's owner. Cracking car, very clean and the owner really looks after it.
