where do the good tires go?

The gf went to get 2 new tires ( i rotated the **** ones to the back and the part worn ones to the front)

the put the brand new tires on the back.

should they not have gone on the front? I told her to ask the tire fitter and he gave her some blurb about the new tires need to be on the back for the stability of the car.

i was always under the assumption that becasue the front tires do most of the work the good ones should be there.

whats your opinion on the matter?

my limited understanding is they should be on the driven axle?
is it a rear wheel drive car?

They are meant to be on the back, cant remember why but people put them on the front for lighter steering and that

Always on the rear (unless like me you have different front and rear sizes!)
