I don't mind hairy guys. I think it makes them look manly, I like how hairy arms look.

If you're worried about it getting thicker just wax it off, I have a few hairs on my shoulders, not even really visible but i know they're there so I shave them off, I do trim what I do have, downstairs is essential imo, Im not having a forest down there! Its a comfort thing and the missus likes it so off it goes, theres a thin line between having a groom and being a waxed metrosexual but nothing at all wrong with wanting to trim your various parts if it bugs you

The Fashion & Appearance forum often has threads about waxing and hair removal, so I'm moving this over there as they might be able to help you better.

Moved from PI, but mods feel free to move it back if it's not appropriate for there.

but am afraid it will get thicker
that’s a myth it will grow back the same , unless you get it waxed after about 10 times it will start to get thinner , make sure you get waxed by a pro your girlfriend and the kit she uses for her legs will not do especially if you are really hairy

I don't like hair at all on my boys. I like them hairless, except for perhaps a small square of it on the pubic region. and on the head and eyebrows obviously. But no hair anywhere else. yuck!! xx

I pluck the odd shoulder hair that might come near my neck, so it won't show wearing a tee-shirt, Downstairs is kept nice and neat (2 or 3 blade with a clippers). Other half doesn't seem to care but I prefer to not have something like a hibernating squirrel in my keks.

It's natures way. As we men stop growing hair on top of our heads it seems like the hair needs another escape route from the interier and so it sprouts from our ears and noses. However that is not enough release and soon it starts to sprout from our backs too. *
Shaving and triming is only a short-term fix as this hairgrowth will continue to occur (for a few hours)even after we have shuffled off this mortal coil.

I was elated on the day I discovered that the gap between my chest hair and the stubble of my beard finally closed over.
A hairy body is like a canvas to an artist. It's a place to shape, trim, sculpt and generally play and have fun.

    Hairsuit for the win.

Some love it, some hate it and some don't mind. I don't mind at all, I mean if a guy had a carpet on his back i might be a bit surprised but I don't think it would put me off.

If you want to get it waxed then do, if you keep it up then the hairs with get thinner as time goes on.
