Hey everyone, (sorry if this doesn't belong here)

as my holiday is coming up soon i wanted to bite the bullet and get waxed as i don't fancy shaving every day or 2nd day for 2 weeks.. i first got waxed last year and even though it was great at first the pain was just so unreal i could only bare it for a couple of months because i wanted to be smooth for my holiday last year.. as soon as i came back from holiday i went straight back to shaving (i know most people and beauticians will say it get less painful each time but for some reason it was the complete opposite for meredface.gif)

so my question is are there any good and effective numbing gel's sprays injections tablets powders anything that will make it mostly pain free (either from Ireland or online that delivers to Ireland)

many thanks in advance guys smile.gif

Most things i've read recommend a good (non-prescription) painkiller about 20 min to half an hour before waxing..

I highly recommend you choose your salon carefully. Some use techniques which are much less painful than others. If you're in Dublin, go to Brazilia. They make a brazilian wax almost pain free.

I know how you feel. I was about to have a date with my all time crush and i definitely want to wax mine. I hate the pain and i go nuts after i waxed my vagina and legs. I found out that there is a numbing cream in the market. The product is dr. numb. I tried it and it really works! I also tried emla and it's a ****ty product. Now i can have my legs waxed anytime i want to without feeling any pain!:D

definately 2 solphedeine or 2 nurofen plus before treatment - half an hour or so - sometimes the codeine can make you stay a bit red for a while after - not long though and sooooo worth it!

i used to get severe bruising after getting waxed down below. then i started taking 2 neurofen plus 20 mins before hand and a painkiller cream like difene gel and i had no soreness or bruising. and it does get easier each time, imho anyways!

The length of the hairs is also indicative of the pain. I have been getting my legs waxed for years, and if I let the hairs get a tad too long, I feel the hairs being pulled more, also, do not get it done just before, or when you are having your period, as we are more sensitive to pain then too - I tend to wait till I have finished my period to mid-cycle.
