Where I live in carlow the local hooded crows are black and white and not the usual black and grey, I was wathching them out my window today and they are very unusual.
Last year there was one with a normal coloured mate but this year there is a pair, I reckon the normal one died and the white one has paired up with one of its own offspring.
I will try get a picture to put up to show you

still trying to get a good pic, there was a fight the other day between one of "mine" and one of the the next door nighbour pair. One was natural grey and black so the contrast was immediately apperant. ran for camera and...... missed yet again.

So no pic yet sorry, but hopefully will get one soon

About a year too late for you, but there was a brown rook hanging around the lakes near old KCC Offices in Naas last Summer...haven't been there since so don't know if it is still around.
