Chipped VW Transporter

    Has anyone chipped a VW Transporter and noticed any difference??

    Or more importantly has anyone chipped the engine & blown it to sh!te?

    i got that done to my golf three yrs ago added some extra bhp, could really notice difference and never had any trouble

    There shouldn't be any problem once you treat the vehicle with a bit of respect. Don't rev the nuts off it from cold, wait till the oil (not coolant) is up to temp. Let it idle for a couple of mins after a hard drive for the turbo to cool.
    The engine won't go bang, the turbo might if not looked after.

    I'll be fitting remote start & turbo timer to deal with the heating up & cooling down after. Dont suppose ya know if thats a big job on the VW's?

    It'll put more strain on the clutch. I'd a remapped Bora TDi and A4 TDi....up ~30bhp and a rise in torque too.

    I don't think it's possible due to the immobiliser thats fitted.

    Steer clear of the cheap ebay boxes, all they are is a resistor in a resin filled box.
