Any casual cyclers in Galway or Athenry for evening spins? Myself and a mate have been organising a few spins recently. We've been doing anywahere between 16-30km at relaxed pace. Mind ya, we did Derroura (Oughterard) the other night on MTB's - not so relaxed. It's really beautiful up there.
Anyone else interested in a few gentle spins? May also be interested in longer weekend stints.

Both, road is fine. We did a lovely route last night from my house in outside Athenry to Newcastle, onto Monivea, thru the forest park and back. Lovely quiet route with some bog roads (grass along the middle etc)

The suggested sponsorship per cyclist is €200. I'm student. I'm wondering what "suggested" means.

If they learnt anything from the Croi or Cornamona 50 they will take what you can give them on the day.A call if you have a no. would be worth it.

WCW 100km from Maam Sunday 26th would be worth thinking about.
    http://www.connachtcycling.com should have details.

we only learned about this cycle during the week so we have no sponsorship in place at all. We are gonna show up and offer them 50 quid between us if they let us register. If not then we will just cycle behind them. We are bringing our own food and water. We intend to take our time, lots of rests, snacks, water and a few photographs of that beautiful scenery. If this appeals to you, you should come along, we'd be happy to meet up with ya.
