I don't mean drunk texts, no, I mean the case when the finger slips while you're navigating through your phone book and a completely inappropriate text gets sent to the wrong person.

So, AH, oblige with your best/worst!:D

Mine: was texting the boyfriend just now and ended it with something...inappropriate, well, in the sense that it probably shouldn't go to my sixteen year old sister! Their names are side by side in the auld address book.

I accidentally texted my son and told him he wasn't mine, instead of texting my wife and calling her a whore. Yep, that was one frosty Autumn. Haven't seen either of them since.

Got a new phone on the Saturday. Ex stayed in my place that night. Text her the next evening saying it was great that she stayed (among other things). Accidentally sent it to all numbers on my phone :o

Luckily there were only about ten on it as I hadn't gottena roung to putting the rest on it.

I don't send messages now because of this, drunk or sober.
In one my my drunker moments I thought I'd text a guy I had broken up with to say that I really enjoyed last night blah blah blah.
I thought I was being clever by letting him think I was out on a hot date, in the cold light of day I felt like a ten year old fool.

Try playing Text Roulette. Write an obscene message, be it "**** off" or "I think you're a ****" or "I slept with your wife/girlfriend/husband/boyfriend, I'm so sorry"

Press send, and when it comes to choose the contact, look away and scroll through a random number of times and hit send.

Probably the stupidest game ever actually.

Choose the recipient before writing the message. Problem solved.

Me and my friend were joking and I sent him "I have a massive hardon right now". Then, I was giving my other friend someones number and ended up sending that text to the guy.

I accidentally sent my aunt a picture of a man with his head between a woman's legs and her bush looked like a Charlie Chaplin moustache.
She replied "nice baby", don't think she has my phone number so she didn't know it was me.

I sent a girl I was taking to a belle and sebastian concert for her birthday a text about gettting the train and tickets for her for the concert. Luckily the way I worded it made me able to lie phewww. Other texts I won't say :-p

My friend did a whopper in college too that I won't talk much about, but he flung furniture around the room after, and he never gets angry.

A guy in work sent a text to his (male) boss that went something along the lines of "morning honey, can't wait to see you tonight" (meant for his GF)

Which in itself would be quite amusing, but the creamy centre of the story is that his boss had left his phone at his in-laws house, who read the text:p

yes several times I have texted a mate when it was meant to be my gf. Got a lot of stick from work about it for a few weeks.

I broke it off with a guy I'd been going out with for a couple of months and he was really irritating me. Later the same day I was texting my friend and he asked me what was so bad about him. I wrote a four page text saying all the things that really pissed me off about him...of course because I was thinking about him I sent it to the ex. I hadn't realised and because the four page text wasn't long enough to fit all the reasons why I broke it off I wrote a second....oh yes...I did the same thing again and sent it to the ex again.. I feel so awful about it now the poor guy :o

Myself and a mate got hold of a friends phone in college, changed the number of a girl he liked from his hometown to one of our numbers as he was always going on about her,

Much fun ensued....leading him on etc etc,

Then he found out about it and we all had a good laugh,

One huge coincidence later, as he hadn't heard from her in a good while, he recieved a txt from her, thought it was us again, sent a few expletives,

And then he couldn't believe it wasn't us. :D

I'm a great one for the auld sending-the-text-to-the-first-number-in-the-recently-used-list, haven't done anything too bad in a while, but god there were some doozies. And back before the novelty of free meteor texts wore off, I used to text EVERYONE meteor in my phonebook when I was drunk, just to tell them I was drunk. Cue text back from the mother "Didn't need to hear that at two in the afternoon/five in the morning pet. Stay safe" :o

I was just after meeting this person...and i texted my best friend aoife OH I MET SO AND SO.......and two minutes later i realised it was the wrong aoife, and the one i meant to text was down as redhead:)apparently she burst out laughing in afterschoolstudy and told everyone, and they figured it out like THAT

I now have the other aoife down as ZAoife =p and all my parents, and worker's numbers learned off and not saved just in case.

I sent text meant for my girlfriend at the time, to one of the lads. They weren't sloppy love texts but erotic ones. She was worried yet mildly aroused when she received them.

Havent sent any accidental texts myself, but a friend of mine did accidentally send me a text intended for his girlfriend once. Found out from that text (which I should point out he sent me 3 times!!) that his nickname for his girlfriend was "kitten". Funny at the time. She didnt talk to me for a while after I told everyone about that....

mine is possibly the most embarrassing thing that has ever happened to me!! was having fun with a bf (an ex now) and we were sending "dirty" messages to each other trying to turn each other on before we met later on back at my house.
so I sent a text to Mark (the bf) saying "Oh I'm so wet - can't wait to get home!"
then suddenly as soon as I sent it ...... noooooooooooooooooo!!!!
awnt it to my mother as "mam" was beside mark's name on my phone.
then the dreaded "beep beep" came through immediately afterwards
"why? is it raining in Dublin? - hasnt rained here all day"

que major sigh of relief on my part and extremely careful since sending text messages!!!

I've sent the odd one alright, but the best were the ones I've received.

Kept getting the odd message from the U14 Adare camogie team telling me when training was on.

I replied saying that, being a 22 year old male (not from Adare), and without any real camogie skills, they were probably looking for the wrong person.

The reply to this left me slightly perplexed:-

"Thats grand, just give us your name there, and we'll take you off the mailing list"

Was talking to a friend about another friends boyfriend, who's basically a total sleazy cock who cheats all the time and such, but sent it to the girlfriend mistakenly! Who refuses to talk to me now. Oh well.

    On the other side though:
I was texting my friend one night, telling her why my ex and I were over. He had totally screwed me over and basically I can never forgive him. But anyway! I accidently sent it to a guy I worked with. (The ex worked in the same place, and he was quite shocked at what a prick he was) but it all turned out for the best. Apparently he had liked me for ages and now I was free, he wanted to go out sometime. I had always thought he was really nice and really yummy, but was besotted with the OH so would never act on it. We have being going out for nearly 9 months now! Sometimes sending texts to the wrong person can work out!!
