Ok so I'm well pissed off with these run-flats ! having to change the tyre when i get a puncture. Can they be repaired ? and does anyone know where in Waterford they will repair them ?
I've gone to two places today and they've told me they can't ! but surely there's got to be a cheaper way then 160 for every time i get a puncture !
    Rant over !
    Any help ?

They can be repaired, Fast Fit do it in Dublin. Phone around, i'm sure you'll find somebody who'll repair them for you.

I presume that it depends on the type of puncture. Something on the tread (nail or whatever) might be fine but something larger like a rip wouldn't be repairable.
Anyhow, how many punctures have you had?

You always have the option of buying a spare wheel, tyre, jack & toolkit. Then you can buy standard tyres.

I don't like the handling of runflats - very hard and giddy.

can the run flats be replaced with standard tyres without any issues?

IIRC the E90 BMW does not have room for a proper spare!

Yes. BMW have (or at least had) an option of opting for standard tyres.

This is a drawback although I'm not sure of the scenario if standard tyre were ordered at manufacturer (assuming it's still an option).

IIRC there isn't the shape for it in the boot floor

seemly no room for a spare, but BMW sell an assistance kit for 100e which im not sure is included in it but i would assume it would be one of those pump in foam things that gets you home.

Or get Runflat Insurance, depending on the size of your wheel, it's either 350 Euro for 3 years, or 495 for 3 years, covering you for 12 punctures in that time period.

In the case of a BMW that came fitted with runflats then the information in the owners handbook/tyre info data plate is correct.
