    To all the home technicians:
I had the usual overheating problem caused by blocked heat sink vents that was easily remedied by removing the heat sink and all the accumulated dust and fibres. I am using the machine for both Linux Fedora 10 and Windows XP professional with separate hard drives but my problem is not related to the operating system.
The machine will not power up at ambient temperature, no matter how long I keep the power button depressed. After placing the machine on a rad to warm up for about 5 minutes, it will power up after about 30 seconds.
Is anyone here familiar with such a problem?
Any suggestions would be most welcome.
    Regards
    Bernd
