Looks like his pesky invisible twin has struck again.

It is. It's been bouncing around for so long that I was begining to think it wasn't true since no annoucement had been made.

Oh LOL, this is priceless. Rudy picked the wrong day to give an interview to the press:
These days, Pevenage's Rock Racing team also provokes some critical voices, as it is the home of many riders linked or allegedly linked to Operación Puerto. Still, the Belgian said that "most riders in the team never had anything to do with doping. The others - [Ivan] Gutierrez, [Tyler] Hamilton and [Francisco] Mancebo - have suffered so much of their history that they will never touch doping again. [Oscar] Sevilla now lives in Colombia at 3000 metres altitude, he has better blood levels than in the past."

    More
American national road champion Tyler Hamilton is the subject of a new doping investigation, one which could possibly result in his life-time banishment from the sport.

The 38-year-old Hamilton, however, is expected to announce at a news conference this morning that he plans to retire from cycling.

    From BikeRadar.

"There is no scientific evidence or basis for this steroid to be a performance enhancer," said Scott. "It is fair to suggest that the probability of DHEA having a performance effect on anyone, at any amount taken is inconceivable. There is no good reason to take DHEA, this is a very foolish drug to take because it is readily detectable, but it has no performance enhancements."

Paul Scott works for Rock Racing.

FFS! What sort of shoddy journalist would leave out that fact?

Probably an overworked, underpaid one who is expected to spend their day rewriting press releases and paraphrasing news stories from other media sources.

I'm sure Tyler's press release neglected to mention that Scott Analytics is contracted to administer Rock Racing's internal testing programme. I had to do a bit of googling to find that out.

He should have been baned for life last time. Good riddance.

Christ this is a negative thread. Read the article and feel sorry for the guy. Whatever about his past history if the guy was suffering from depression can understand him taking an anti-depressant.

I can but not DHEA which is not a proven antidepressant and is banned (which he admits he knew but asked for teh B sample anyway).

I feel cheated as I cheered him throught the tour when he had a broken collarbone :o

There are some things which put you beyond the pale and IMO he has gone way over the line.

PS 20% of us at some point in our lives will have a mental health problem

Dont judge him on that but repeated cheating with banned drugs while professing to be an elite athlete in a sporting sense is taking the p*ss

I have no sympathy for an unrepentant repeat offender.

Hamilton has told lie after lie for years about this doping. Now he expects us to believe the depression story?

He was clinically diagnosed back in 2003 and it runs in his family, I'd believe he has it all right. Doesn't excuse the doping and the charade about the twin... this time, who knows. Anyway, he is gone now and good riddance, let's just forget about him and move on.
