    Hi Folks,

Just a query from a friend of mine. He has been working for a small firm for the last few years and is paid in cheque every week. He does not receive a pay slip. they only have a small number of staff (say 6). He has began to question his hourly rate to see if he is underpaid for a week worked. He has asked his boss about payslips but has been told as they are a small firm they need not issue them so he has no idea where he stands on tax etc etc.

is it a legal requirment to get pay slips and have the information he needs?

    thanks.
