    i do have a briefcase like that for carrying stuff around

    back to the title discussion now
    this year the open is on way up in scotland - that shows a lack of understanding for those of us needing to travel long distances
    i would consider going though, as i am new to golf though presumably much of the experience would go over my head
    another poster mentioned getting a spot at a par 3 and staying there for the day - surely thats a nonsense
    if ur at the open you want to be walking alongside tiger and phil presumably??

    If you want to see anything at a pro tournament go on a practice day. Sitting in the same place all day or following the same people behind a sixe deep crowd isn't my idea of a fun day out.

    Give me a championship amateur event any day, you're beside all the action, looking at some of the brightest futures in golf and you're actually close enough to learn something.
