raw image to jpeg, help needed??

    i have a picture in Raw that i want to convert to jpeg. but i can convert it in photoshop cs3, the jpeg opinion isnt coming up? can any one help me out

    I always use Irfanview because the batch conversion is so fast.

    For Canon CR2 files you need to download and install an additional plugin.

    Everything is available from the main Irfanview site.

    When I open a raw file in CS3 a dialogue box opens that allows me to open the file as it is or convert it to dng or jpg.

    i'd say its cos it was 32 bit tbh

    opened it up in the mac application preview and saved it as .tiff file, then open the . tiff file with colour sync utitlity and saved as jpeg

    did you try changing it to 8bit?

    Changing it to 8bit is the fastest and easiest way to do it

    i didnt change it to an 8bit just needed to change it to a jpeg earlier as quick as possible to meet a deadline and that was the only way i could figure it out!!!

    for future reference, ti change to eight bit, its one click on the dropdown
