"There has been a perception that piracy is OK and that the music industry should just have to accept it. This verdict will change that,"

    yeah, right.

based on that statement alone, i'm going to download twice as much.

maybe if hollywood and the record industry didnt produce so much lowest common denominator SHITE i might be inclined to go back to the cinema or record shop.

You're going to download twice as much of it even though its sh*te?

Why would you do that? Seems like an awful waste of time to me.

I think we had a poll on "why you download" a while back. Allot of people admitted they where just lazy. The one and only reason i download is because of international air dates. I like a TV show i follow a TV show i spead the word (BTW i claim responsabality for introducing Ireland to "Death Note") I buy the DVD's, i spend money on TV.

And because of that i download my TV because i should not and refuse to wait. anyone remember the 90's some shows where a year and a 1/2 behind the US. ****ing dexter was 2 years before it aired here.

I never go to the cinema (but then again i only download about 1 film a month) even though i havent been to the cinema is over a year i pay monthly Cineworld for a unlimited card meaning i can see an unlimited amount of films.
If i download a current film i go into town and i go into the cinema and queue up to get my ticket and then i dont go se it. I like to have a smoke at home watching a movie and i am entitled to do that.

I support the insustry and i dont feel it does enough to satisfy me so i download and i will contunie to download till all TV shows and movies are offered internationly at the same time.

The only TV show i watch live is shameless and its been that way for years - oh and the it crowd i watch that live as well.

In fairness, you're assuming they will as if that's the age we live in and sadly, there's little that can be done. They claim that the "government" is for some nefarious purpose exposing them to this. The Gardai now have footage of two of these, and I'm sure they'll all sign confidentiality clauses. So if people were caught cos they were caught, where does it end?

Yup, I'll agree with this. I remember you posted a screenshot from myepisodes.com about 2 years back - I saw Death Note listed, and I wondered "what the hell is that?". The rest, as they say, is history. That turned into a couple of months of brilliant TV for me, so I salute you, sir. :)

that argument only works if i download shite, which i dont.

there are many good shows, (based on word of mouth) that i could download but i dont bother....

i dont want to wait for shows, watch ****e shows or bother with ads. downloading and to a lesser extent sky + takes care of that.

but back to my original point, hollywood churns out too much utter crap, yet will cancel a savage show before its even hit the ground....

if they continue to be idiots, i'm gonna download.

Alas I only watched up to episode 20 of the TV series, then lost the internet. Never got around to catching up coz then my old computer ****ed up and I had almost all the episodes on it and didn't want to waste time downloading them again when I planned to get my computer fixed. :P

Must free up some space now it's been put into my head.

If Ireland and Britain improved their sh*te record for showing TV shows in order and not editing them to shreads I might stop downloading.

If CDs and DVDs didn't cost ridiculous over the top prices I might stop downloading. (Also cinema tickets, mad prices altogether)

Until those things happen, they can shag off.

This won't effect things...in fact, it'll anger people more and more Wolverine type things will start to happen.

    Hacks, attacks, leaks etc.

my fav thing is the leaks - remember when the first 4 episodes of season 2 of weeds got leaked or breaking bad? the worst thing about them is the incredibly long wait before the next ep
