    I've created a website for a local builder. www.connhennessy.ie. Finished it 2 months ago. Searching on google with the most obvious keywords (conn hennessy!) turns up nothing. Yahoo.ie find it under builder waterford.

    Yet I put up registered www.dunmorewebcams.com 5 weeks ago and it gets found.
    Anyone had similar experiences?

    Hi Conolan,

    I think I know what the prob is - you have a meta tag on the page instructing Google not to index your site:

    <META NAME="GOOGLEBOT" CONTENT="INDEX, NOFOLLOW">

    I would remove it - it might help things. It may take some time to filter through however.

    had that there because I didn't want the flash pages to be indexed. However, in THEORY that instruction should allow the home page to be indexed.

    Hi Conolan,
    its currently displaying no backlinks-Your search - link:http://www.connhennessy.ie/ - did not match any documents. Get some links pointing at the site and this should assist fairly fast especially via blogs as these are spidered quickly. As you are probably aware Google often takes quite some time to even show a newish site in its results but if you get some links it should assist.

    Have a link to it and did submit. Is google slower to rank .ie sites than .com?

    get rid of the nofollow in the meta (why exactly don't you want pages on the site indexed ? )

    add a sitemap and submit it to google.com/webmasters

    dump analytics on it

    Add a few more links from sites to it

    Add to dmoz .. ( follow instructions of fluffylinkulator :P ) and so on ....

    Fluffylinkulator doesn't support Live.com search engine submission :p :pac:

    So submit your site here also: http://search.live.com/docs/submit.aspx
