A fighter I admire and think is a real tough kid.
He is unbeaten, a lovely puncher and very
exciting. His bout with Johannson showed he can
    be hurt and can hurt.

I think he has the talent to beat Roman, who didn't look
great even though he destroyed Cook, who folded rather
    easily

I like his chances but if Martinez is any better than he was against Cook it will be a tough fight. I will say Mitchell by UD.

How much can we take from both fighters bouts with Estrada?

Mitchell tko'd him in the 5th, 6 months later Martinez took a ud over the scheduled 10.

If Cook can hurt him in the little period they fought, then Mitchell could definitely get to him before 12.

Mitchell's got a bit of a leaky defence, but he is a World Class fighter imo and should get the better of Rocky Martinez in a real war. 80/20 Mitchell wins this but one way or another it'll end by stoppage.

Mitchell has talked about wanting to unifying the division and this is his first step. I fancy him to beat Martinez as I've said, and I'd fancy him to beat Cassius Baloyi.

However beating Jorge Linares I'm not so sure about, Linares is quite good but very overated. Really doesn't like to fight backing up, which Mitcjell might be able to do to him. But I reckon Linares would just get the better of Mitchell.

No one in the division lives up to Humberto Soto though, the guys a beast and it takes someone slick and supremely skilled like Joan Guzman to get the better of him.

Other guys at the weight are Robert Guerrero, Jorge Barrios, Rocky Juarez depending on which day of the week it is and Sergei Gulyakevich.

Did any of you guys see Kevin's bout last week ? I thought he looked really good and has a great chance against Martinez for the title.

i saw the fight - thought he looked very slick but i would be very wary of martinez. for me martinez goes in favorite for that fight . not saying mitchell cant win it but this is a real step up from the opponents he has faced in the past. he is still so young and has a big future ahead of him.
