Right, anyone up for a Sunday spin (preferably early 8am??).
Route to be decided, Wicklow direction (maybe Lugalla/Kippure???)

(See Emty - not stealing the traditional late start Saturday spin:D)

I wanted to do it, but have to be home for 1pm, so it is a non runner. I have cycled some of the backroads around Dunlavin - Naas, I think it will be a great cycle.

Who is the fair city/tudors star attending? It wouldn't be Rachel Kavanagh would it??? :D

    €20 is a lot for that, what's the diddly-o?

ROK-ON: I would be well up for sunday, but after my poor attendences last week I'll have to put myself down as a maybe to avoid causing any disappointments.

You should be joining me for the MTB race. We can keep each other company at the back

I actually just got an email from some friends, heading to Ballinastoe on sunday probably.

Eh, I reckon I am a long way off MTB racing, this will be my 4th spin and each one starts with "I think I've made a terrible mistake".

I'll be on the road tmw though, assuming the forecast is right.

Yeah I've had I think two or three spins where I've thought, "Ok this is cool, I'm getting why people like it." Most of the others have been 'This is pretty nuts, why am I doing this".

Anyway, everyone says just jump into the racing to give it a go. It's the beginner category too, so no one is particularly bothered about your performance and luckily you are out before the better people so won't be holding them up.

Anyway. If you are off to Balinastoe on Sunday, not to race, you may have a tough time parking.

It is in aid of charity but I expect there will be food etc. provided as well as road markings/marshalling etc. I wouldn't complain about €20.

I think that folks get a bit peeved with charity, but I think that 20quid is a pretty nominal sum for most folk. It looks like it will have some marshalling and food - good value I would have thought.

Ah apologies, I thought it was just the entrance fee for some kind of race. I see now what KARE is, excuse my ignorance :)
