apologies for yet another which bike do I buy post, but I really need some help

I want a road bike for some duathlons, probably a tri and gael force

    have "narrowed" it down to

    Giant Defy 1

    Specialized Allez Elite

    or the Focus variado

    all around 1100 ish

but I could get the focus cayo 105 and a carbon frame for another 100...

The cayo looks great and has some good kit on it, the reviews for it are v good, but does anyone have one? I'm v reticent to buy a bike I haven't even seen in the flesh/sat on.

Is it worth it to get the full carbon frame? Has anyone bought a bike from wiggle - I've read that they deliver a bike that is pretty much ready to go?

I'd love to buy local but a fully carbon frame for another 100....thoughts?

The Cayo was last years bike of choice, there's 4 or 5 of 'em in the hands of boardsies... that model had full Ultegra, so the 105 version isn't quite such good value, but it's not far off!

I very nearly got a Defy1 before I got my PX. Of all the Defy range, it has the dullest colour scheme, but still a nice bike. But having said that, I would go for the Cayo..............or you could do what Myself and Tiny did and get a Planet X

yeah had a look at the planet-x - lovely looking bikes but they were working out a little too dear. I had an initial 1000 budget which is already going towards 1200, and I haven't got shoes/pedals yet!

So would cayo owners recommend it?

A couple of lads in our club have that bike and seemingly they all love them.
Henboy who uses the forum has this years model and would probably tell you how good it is if you pm him

I would definitely spend the extra 100 and get the Cayo, it is a very nice bike. Big difference from an aluminum racer I reckon.

EDIT: I had the Ultegra one last year and Wiggle do deliver it set up immaculately, both wheels on and even pumped, you just need to attach the bars (four allen screws.) Gearing indexed perfectly, brakes set up perfectly, etc.
