Hi guys, just had a quick search and other than a few dead links I'm getting the idea that a 1TB Ex. HDD can be got for about €100 or so delivered.

I'm not partuclarly informed though on what I should look at. It'll have daily use and I want it fast, small and durable.
Cheaper the better here but I don't mind spending a bit more for quality.

    Any suggestions?
    Cheers!

P.S. Maybe bargain requests would be a better home? Not sure...

I got a Buffalo one from Argos. Worked out at 150 or thereabouts including their 3 Year Warranty (which is the reason i bought it there, rather than cheaper online). It's not very small though.

Have mine about three months now and have so far had no problems with it (although if you reckon you're gonna fill 1TB i'd advise doing what i did, and buy another the same, to keep a copy of all your files).

    Heres the one i have:

If you want a decent one i would suggest going for one that uses a Western Digital drive as they are good quality. For speed, check the RPM. 7200RPM would be the usual speed you would find but if you want something higher like 10,000RPM your gonna be paying alot for it. Have a look at this one here. Good reviews and around the 100 mark.

I ended up getting the 1tb Western Digital HDD from komplett.
Just arrived today at a total of €99.51 shipped, can't complain about less than a euro for every 10GB!
It's heavy enough, but small enough aswell, so It's not too cumbersome.
    Thanks all for your advice!
