Halfords sell 5L containers of distilled/"battery top up" water for about €5 - handy and the containers are a nice size for storing fluids

Its not exactly a bargain but that's where you can get it. Tumble driers also produce distilled water, but I've never been convinced that it doesnt actually contain even a small trace of lint/fibres so I usually just throw that down the drain.

Probably the biggest waste of money ever as you could just put a plastic jug out to catch rainwater too.

If you know anyone who works in a lab get them to get you some de-ionised water.

It is for human consumption, so I am not sure Halfords is the way to go, and I am told that de-ionised water will not do.

Not a Bargain Alert - please use the 'Requests' forum in future.
