i applyed for FIS on the 5th of march,

i rang them last wk and they told me they only were working on the 15th of feburary at that stage..

can anyone tell me how long does it take them to work through it

well, last week, they were working on payments 18 days older than yours.

So, I'd wager it'll be at least another 18 days from when you called.

I was warned when I first applied three years ago it could be anything up to 13 untill first payment but it would be backdated to the date they recieve the letter. I was prepared for the worst but it was completed in 6, which was great. Worth waiting for and at least you get a nice little chunk in one go.

if its your first application it will be processed within the next 2 to 3 weeks.(they are working on the end of feb).the start date of every claim is the first thursday after it is received into FIS section so no matter how long you wait it will be paid from that date.
