I'd say that has a lot to do with it. Although people of that age don't tend to put up with sh!te that younger people do.

The old folks have had their fill of young scum and are fighting back.
An 86-year-old widow has told how she tackled a burglar by hitting him with her crutch and then keeping him prisoner until police arrived.

At what age exactly do you have nothing left to live for. Do you just wake up some morning and say "Ok that's it, I've reached X years and I'm fcuked. I'll probably just walk out in front of a truck or something today and not give a sh1t.

I have a friend who's only a few years off 80 and he enjoys life more than most people half his age, and he sleeps with a woman 20 years younger than him and a jemmy bar under the bed.

I meant you have gone so far in life perhaps you can take a risk more than I will. As in no dependents not going to be here for the next 40 years and willing to take a chance against a gun that most wouldn't.

No I don't agree. Either you have the balls or you don't. Age doesn't really come into it unless it physically slows you down.

That old guy who took the gun off the robber would have done it when he was 20, only then he probably would have shot him.

Nonsense maybe at 20 he'd not try and give the money away. Money or your life. At 80 maybe he'll take a risk at being the big 80 yr old hero who stood up to the thugs.
